covid

The corona pandemic has confronted the humanity worldwide with unprecedented havoc. India is one of the largest populated country having huge casualties for thepast one and half year.

The monks and volunteers of Bharat Sevashram Sangha, Barajuri branch with the financial contributions from the devotees and well-wishers came together to stand beside the vulnerable people around Ghatsila sub division for prevention and protection from the deadly Covid-19 virus attack during its second wave.

Surgical face masks, sanitizers, soaps, vitamin C tablets, zinc tablets etc. were sourced in bulk from Kolkata because these were unavailable in the local market with enough quantity.

With the Mobile Medical Unit (MMU), since 16th May 2021 regular visits were undertaken to the hilly forested Tribal, Primitive Tribal villages to create awareness about covid-19.

Appropriate guidelines and protocols were discussed among the villagers and others at Banbera, Chandutola, Jhati Jharna, Haludbani, Rajabasa, Basadera, Bhadua, Kanimohali, Kenopushi, Darisai Kharia Colony etc. and facemasks, sanitizers, soaps, vitamins and zinc tablets were distributed. Apart from the above efforts, BSS stood by the crisis of some of the autorickshaw drivers of Fuldungri Auto Stand, Ghatsila during the extended lockdown. We have distributed hampers with grocery items and vegetables besides covid-19 preventive items to them.
